CSD CEP Design Student Prize profiles: Dhuha Alsadiq Assoc.CSD, Web Media
Each year, we honour graduating CSD CEP student designers worldwide through both in-person and online award ceremonies.
The CSD CEP Student Prize is awarded yearly to up to three design students from each CSD Accredited course, who have demonstrated great work throughout their course, recognising their talents and constant hard work.
As part of our festivities, we are excited to spotlight Dhuha Alsadiq Assoc.CSD, a CSD CEP Student Prize winner from Bahrain Polytechnic. Join us as we explore her studies in web media and her fascination with visual communication.
Tell us a little about your work:
As a web media student and aspiring designer, my work revolves around creating visually captivating and user-friendly digital experiences. I specialise in web design creation and strive to combine creativity with functionality to deliver engaging content that leaves a lasting impression on users. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained a solid foundation in various design principles, allowing me to bring my creative visions to life.
I hope that my work reflects my experience and presents useful, creative and attractive web content. I have created many projects, but my two best projects are an interactive 3D walkthrough and a digital magazine. Both presented how interactivity in web content is important and added a creative human-computer interaction.
What inspired you to become a designer?
I wanted to become a designer from an early age and started creating graphic designs at the age of 13. After commencing my studies at Bahrain Polytechnic, I now understand design professionally and have been able to build upon my fascination with visual communication’s power and its ability to create engaging online experiences. I find inspiration in the intersection of technology, creativity and human interaction, which drives me to constantly explore innovative ways to communicate and connect through design.
What does the award of the CEP Student Prize mean to you?
Being nominated by my tutors and winning the CEP Student Prize allowed me to gain confidence and let me know that my hard work during my studies was successful. I am so glad to mention this award in my accomplishments moving forward.
What’s next for you?
While working on my last project – which is research about teaching children digital media creation – I learned about children’s education and tutoring. So, my next step is to earn certificates which will enable me to teach in schools. I’m also thinking of continuing my studies and taking a Master’s degree in multimedia to gain more experience that I can apply in my career.
